Reading the journal
The pages do not include advertising scripts, analytics libraries, social embeds, user accounts or a remote message-submission service. Photographs, styles and scripts are requested from the site itself rather than third-party asset services.
Like other websites, delivering these files requires network requests. Hosting infrastructure may process technical information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time for delivery, security and troubleshooting. Hosting-level logging and retention depend on the deployed service; this notice does not promise that visiting a static page creates no server records.
The local message composer
Names, email addresses, subjects and messages entered into the composer are used in the current page to build plain text. The supplied tool does not transmit these fields, place them in a URL, or store them in cookies or localStorage. Your browser may independently offer autofill or restore form fields according to your settings.
Copying writes the prepared note to your clipboard when permission is available. Downloading creates a text file on your device. Other apps, shared-device users, clipboard synchronization services or backup tools may have access according to your own device settings. Avoid entering confidential information.
If you send an email
The tool does not send email. If you separately contact the published address, the email services involved will process your message and associated metadata. Information you choose to send may be used to consider your question, reply or investigate a correction. Do not send information that is unnecessary for that purpose. There is no guaranteed response time.
Cookies and device storage
The supplied journal code does not set cookies or persistent preference records. Navigation and reveal states last only in the current page. Browser caching and hosting-level features are separate from these scripts. Read the cookie information for details about the scope of this statement.
External destinations
Following an external reference or opening your email provider takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. We do not control those services. No external page is embedded simply because a reference link appears in an article.
Your questions and choices
You can use the journal without the composer, disable JavaScript, control browser storage and clear downloaded files or clipboard contents. If you have sent correspondence, you may ask about access, correction or deletion by emailing [email protected]. Rights and any applicable exceptions depend on your jurisdiction; limited verification may be necessary before acting on a request.
Changes
This notice must be reviewed if the site adds analytics, submission services, accounts or other data-processing features. Consult the current published version before sharing personal information.
